the only problem with this recipe ...... it requires crappe fillets .... that dont seem to be in great abundance right now ....

got a bunch of bags of sand bass - looks like I will be dressin a mess real soon. Uhh, throw out that tarter sauce recipe buddy......

I think it depends on what beer you use. I tried a batter similar to this with busch beer and it wasnt all that great. Maybe a darker beer like shiner would be better. Try Sam Adams. That's my favorite beer with this.

Looks like Long John Silvers only better!Ive done this with a 3-1 mix of cornmeal and flour but havent tried it like this.Gotta go fishin now lol!

Your right about that! im down to 1 bag! i aint quite in panick mode yet i got at least .... 2 bags a crappie fillets 1 bag a bream fillets 1 bag a channel cat fillets and 1 bag a rainbows ....... probably more but i know of those for sure .... and this is why we set our personal limits on keepin fish so low ...... and it works the same on deer and hogs for me .... 2 freezers and no room means dont bring em home .... on a side note i did ground wild pork tostadas last night that were mmmmmm toooo yummy i am workin hard on the freezer space issue

The bad thing about the last bag i have is i accidentally put about 10 fish worth of fillets in it so i have to use that one when i have a get together or something. Too much fish for just the family. I normally bag them in portions that i know we can eat up at dinner.
