I was hoping to get a pair of waders. My big question would be neoprene or breathable rubber? I would be using these year around but most of the time they would be used top Wade my rods out so I can cast and walk my rods back in. They will get the occasional river time while I'm fly fishing.

Neoprene for me...3 mm seems to work well year round.Just warm enough in the winter(maybe with some sweats or long johns) and not too hot in the summer.

I've had both. I prefer breathable. I can put on sweats underneath.

I like neoprene ones also. They can get a little warm in the spring but they are a godsend in the fall and winter.

I like breathable, but only use them in winter. Come spring I'll go to my usual quick dry columbia shorts and water shoes.

the Magellan breathable waders @ Academy have served me well for 2 seasons. I got them 1 size larger than normal, and I wear my insulated coveralls underneath in the winter, now need some
'lectric socks for my feets!
