Tried the "search" function on this forum, but i couldnt find anything.
Anyone know of any retailers that sell cheap, folding canoes?
Regular ones won't fit in any storage space of ours, and since i'll probably be very infrequently using it, it doesnt have to be of high quality. Also, it would need to fit 2-3 people.
Looking for prices around 300. Or is that a fantasy?
Any help here?
Thanks!

They do exists. Some can be rather expensive. Sorry I don't have one to recommend, but a google search should find some options.
Do you need it to fold flat, or something that will store short (as in it breaks down to a shorter length than a normal length kayak/canoe)?
Not sure if you thought of this option, but there are quite a few plans available to build your own. I have storage issues and built one myself. It was cheap and easy to build and works great! There are a lot more options for a folding boat that you build than probably models that you can buy.
And there is always inflatables as a solid option too!

Urbanfisher: building my own? That sounds pretty interesting. I have never built any sort of watercraft before, so i'm a little nervous about disaster lol. Any links for more information?
And really the canoe does not have to be a foldable one. As long as it can be broken down and stored in a small area, i will be fine.
Iconn: thanks for the suggestion but i forgot to mention one key restriction in my original post, the canoe has to fit 2-3 people, 3 preferrably.
This is why i can't do kayaks, i dont think they can carry more than 1person.

Here is one site to get you started on the search and ideas for a home built portable boat. Ken Simpson is a super nice guy and has some great ideas. I built his One Sheet + and it turned out to be a wonderful little boat. It took me a months worth of weekends and around $85.00 to build. I know that one is too small for your needs, but he does have some plans for bigger portable boats. www.portableboatplans.com

Ally canoes is another option for folding boats. Both porta-botes & ally canoes will run over 1k new. Not sure anyone would even sell a used one for you price range though.

Please be cautious...any inflatable at that price range will be nothing more than a flimsy glorified pool toy. Is your life and your equipment worth that risk? Wait a while, save a few $$$'s and get something real and practical. Tried the "search" function on this forum, but i couldnt find anything.
