The idea of users being able to submit data seems cool, but has anyone downloaded it and was the community layer useful ?
Also does anyone know if the community layer shows up on Humminbirds ?

Humminbirds don't do the community layer.
Humminbird's version will be "Sonar Charts" coming soon.
Navionics has not been prompt in adding any data sent in to get waters updated to HD as advertized. I know a guy that has sent over a dozen recordings on SD cards for one lake over 6 months ago and none have been added.

Correct. The SonarCharts isnt live yet. We are beta testing with some friends in Florida. Making sure everything is smooth before the roll out on every aspect. The Freshest Data currently is chart corrections, new lake data, new features, new structure or mew lakes added. the SonarCharts is coming soon... a little delayed than what expected but thats technology for you.
