The Navionics web site shows the 767 is compatable with the current Hotmaps Premium.
The 767 is not compatable with the Hotmaps Platinum.
Have you tried it?

Hi Ranger,
Not sure why Humminbird would tell you that... Paul from Navionics here. The Premium is DEFINITELY compatable with that unit. Software update could be the issue. You can get that downloaded online and update the unit. That is highly possible but the chart is for sure compatable. If you have additonal issues please shoot me a private message.

I don't know about Humminbird but I had a Lowrance LCX-111C HD that shows to be compatible with the marine and lakes Navionics chip. to make it work I had to not download the user data when loading or upgrading the chip. The navionics chip is on a 2gb card and some older units will only read up to 1gb of data. This may be the same with the Humminbird older units.

you're rright skeeter but based on that info, he should be fine. most of the units that stop at 1 GB are the older Lowrance units. Almost all the Humminbird units are 2 gig+.
