I'm curoius what the consensus is between the DD22 and the Mann's 30+ . I regularly hear about the DD22 but not so much about the Mann's 30+. Are there significantly less folks fishing the Mann's 30+ or is there some other reason you don't hear so much about? Do both baits catch fish equally well ?

What baits exactly u speaking of? d22 is a broad term used to describe allot of very different baits. The Norman d22 only will hit 14 or so ft. Where as the Bomber fat free shads will dive 16-18ft. Allot of people use 6xd's by strike king which I have gotten to 20ft. The Mann's 30+ is a extra large bait that is about 1oz and will get down to 25ft the new 10xd will hit the same depth but cast further than the 30+ and has better colors. It all depends on depth and size of fish you are targeting. 10xd and 30+ i throw on big fish lakes for big bass. The 6xd and Bomber fat free shad i use every trip almost and target all size fish. the Norman d22's i use shallower like 8-10ft and i throw them on heavy line. All will catch plenty of bass. But if you dont use them in the right situation they will not be effective

I've no experience with the Bomber fat free. I didn't realize they would go deeper than the Norman DD22.

I agree with skeet all the way. I have found that Strike kings seem to have the greatest variance in depth based on line size and type. A 6XD will go 13-14-15 ft with heavy flouro or 15lb big game mono or 20ft with 10-12lb flouro. Bomber has great crankbaits. I like to use some of their suspending fingerlings.
