I am curious what the resale value of my boat may be as I may be in the market for a "new to me" boat. I did a bit of research using NADA but not sure how correct it may be.

1997 205PRO Pro Craft with 225EFI.
Boat is in ok condition with a few dings under on hull, bench seats have cracks and carpet is ok but the boat is sound and is ready to fish.

Motor was serviced by a Nitro dealer last year when was looking to trade and compression checks proved to be solid across.

Basic electronics, 3 bank charger and 102 lb trolling motor.

Trailer has 4 brand new tires

Any thoughts?

No problem, I have the bolstered style and love them. They have great customer service and it you don't like them when the show up ship them back for a full refund. I still have not heard of anyone shipping them back though.

Cant say I have many options aside from what I listed but if I can get 6500-7000 I would jump on it! May have to put it up as that would be a very nice down payment on my next one!

I have been looking for a boat for 2 months, what i have found out is that NADA is only a baseline. Obviously all boats are different to some degree, especially if they have been sitting up. Seems the astro/procraft line is one of the higher value boats, right up there with Champs and Rangers. I found a 96 astro f/s that books for 5k, the guy was asking 3500 (lol) I paid 2k, and after I get it water worthy it will have cost me 4k (+ about 3k worth of my "time"), which I think is a fair deal. My point being, a boat is usually worth more to the owner than the market will bear, depending on it's condition.
I would say, put it on the ads for what you think is a little more than it's worth (people always want to haggle you down) have in mind a minimum that you will accept and test the market you'll know pretty quickly (especially if you use Craigslist)if you're in the ballpark, the overpriced boats last for weeks/months, underpriced or great deals go in minutes. Good Luck on your sale, sorry for the book I just wrote.

'97 Astro S-18 F/S, Merc 135...it ain't pretty but it's paid for!
