Should of sent the reels to Southwestern Parts. They do excellent work. Easily would of had the reels back in 3 months! LOL smile I'm in the service industry and have learned very well over the years that those customers that want the cheapest price but expect to be moved to the top of the list for hand holding are usually better off with the competition! Win..win for everybody!

Never had a problem with Shawn or his work. I will continue to use him as my reels need servicing.

The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Shawn sent me a part I could not find for a Shimano 200 for free last year!
I've never met him or given him a single dollar of business, but wouldn't think twice about doing so!
Great person!

Just got 2 of my 45 year old Ambassaduers redone by TurboFred and was very happy with the results and at a very fair price.

I wasn't go to say anything but I can't help myself. I'm in the car parts business and I see this all the time. SOmeone comes in and wants the cheapest part but the best quality... Well those don't exactly go hand in hand. Just like this guy looking for the cheapest and quickest quote he could find. Needless to say his reels will probably fail him in a few months anyways and he will have to start over lol.

This is busy time of year for most shops. We are running way behind and have quit accepting orders. if we can't turn an order in two weeks, we try not to take it. However, some of our customers do not know that, hahah. we don't mind really, I just hate to send something for repair and it seems to disappear so we try to turn our customers business ASAP. Sorry to hear anybody bash a fellow professional like tackle smith, he has been around here along time and has taken care of alot of the TFF folks. I've never heard anybody complain about his work. If you know more than three weeks ahead of time that you will need your reels, maybe you can send a few at a time in for repair ahead of time so you not without reels and then you won't have to scurry around to find a shop to do them, this is very busy time of year for reel repair folks, good luck and glad you got reels done.
