Any updates out here? Is there enough water for me to take a canoe with a tolling motor?

Not sure about the trolling motor, or for that matter a canoe. some spots are really shallow around 380. On a positive note there are sandies in the water in the deeper pockets. Im going up there this AM to rip some lips. I'll post the results....

Any luck. Thinking about doing some bank fishing this weekend if it gets windy. You have luck in the wind?

I went yesterday and proceeded to donate many jigs/roadrunners to the elm fork structure gods. the cold/wind/rain was making it very hard to even get a bite and the few I did get were probably just tail bites. Fished slow and landed a goose egg. I saw a couple of guys on yaks who said they caught a couple. I saw a few whites and gar hitting the topwater, but no takes. I even tried baby flukes with no weight. Just not my day... gonna try again a few days after this cold front rolls through.

Well, so far this morning. I got up early to go fishing with a friend. But I am burning up! It was 29 degrees, so I put on my long johns and 2 layers of clothes. He calls me at 8 and says he is runing late. Not gonna get here till 10.... I should have gone down there and loaded up on some fish. I have been doing really well down there. Last time I went down there I caught a really nice size buzz rite off the bank. And walked away with 4 crappi, and 3 sandbass. And it was not even my beer. Ever 3rd fish I would catch, some guys would give me another beer. They were not catchen, but trying...sort of... hope to see those guys down there again soon..
Did you see the size of that chicken?!.

Went yesterday from 11-3. A friend and I totaled about 7 sand bass, two LMB, and two crappie.
We went down stream in waders and hit every piece of brush for about a mile with 10 foot crappie rigs. the sand bass are starting to show up but the crappie are not thick like last year. the water is running well and was slightly clouded. We need hotter weather and they will be thick.... good luck.

It was my guesstimate that the conditions are as you have detailed...I will wait another week or so but I am so ansy right now its ridiculous...
