I was on the lake(calaveras). And was about to do battle downrigging, because that is what it is like in red fish season.I noticed no peeing, turned around to the dock.It turned out the pee hole was clogged.I read on this forum ,to try carefully to poke clear the pee hole opening. It worked,It looked like the hole was getting smaller by calcium, hard water. My question is,is there any thing we can buy, fill up a barrel and rid the system of this monster.

Sounds like a medical emergency.

Always have an ordinary paper clip in your boat. It is about the only thing that I know that is small enough but strong enough to clear the pee hole pot.

It will still cool the engine if the water pump is working, a clogged hole just means you can't verify the pump is working.

I use weed eater line to clear the tattle tale line. The obstructions always seem to be close to the opening.
You might also want to check your thermostats occassionally. They tend to accumulate corrosion that can restrict water flow. Just clean them and the housing and reinstall. Don't damage the special gasket.

Small bee/wasp type flying things have larvae in every hole they can find and plug them up with mud like stuff that is very hard. I just poke it out on the water and the water stream clears the rest. Some holes I tape up and remove as needed.

A lot cheaper than a new motor.

if its calcium, a tiny drill bit rolled between your fingers usually does the trick. just dont push too hard or too deep as you might poke through the hose

My motor has a tiny hole that if left sitting for a period of time gets clogged. It's no big deal as I have a piece of wire that I always keep hanging on the motor mount so that if I'm at the launch or out on the water and the stream starts to slow or clog I poke at it a little and it opens right up. Like mentioned, it's more of an indicator to let you know the pump is working. If after you clear the opening and the stream is weak, or you barely get a trickle, you had best replace the pump before your next trip. It should be a nice strong stream once it's cleared.
Just one more cast!

I've used a zip tie before too. Glad you got it fixed, its never a good feeling when you notice it not peeing.
