If that lake is as tuff as everyone says it is, then what strategies could I use if I go out there? I have never touched the lake in my life, but have a big tourney out there soon. Would like to see how y'all would approach it this time of the year and what to look for.
Thanks Kyle.

More money to be made on Roberts this year than in a long time. Loose lips sink ships! Time on the water will pay off!

IMO the old saying 90% of the fish are in 10% of the lake was written with this lake in mind........LOL!

Fish are everywhere in the lake. They are deep right now. Might catch a few around the bank. Caught a 7 pounder down in around party cove.

Wish they would stock Roberts the way they stock Fork. Fork has been stocked probably over 9 million Florida's in the last 10 years and Robert's has been stocked just over a half million in the same amount of time.

Search this site, YouTube, and get a good lake map to get an idea what areas hold fish and what lures/presentations to use.

The weather was too nice to pass up this weekend, even though I knew the fishing would be slow. I caught one smallish bass on a T-rigged Baby Brush Hog early before the wind picked up and no hits on any other lures (jerk baits, square bills, fluke, big worm, C-rig). I'm stuck on the bank so take it for what it's worth. I saw more boats than usual on Sunday so maybe they were prepping for tournaments.

It would be nice if they stocked roberts with more bass. I live next to that lake so it would be real nice...

Sure would! Fork has been stocked over 9 million Florida's in the last 10 years. Roberts, just over a half million in the same amount of time. Roberts shocking surveys surely can't be better than Forks. I used to do well at Roberts years ago. The last 5 years or so it really slowed down for me. Eventually, I just quit going there. I guess if I fished it a ton, I would eventually figure out how to be more productive on that lake.
