Fork is that woman you can't get out of your head. You have bad times and good times, but the good times are always better than the bad. I've been away for over four years now and I still have the itch for Fork.

My partner and I have been stuck out there because we ran out of gas. Another time, we had a room for three days to fish Fork and all but zeroed. Fished tourneys and caught 17" to 23 7/8" bass, only to be beaten by four (not five) 10 to 14 inch fish. smile

None of that matters because there have been days when we've boated two limits of 5-8 lb fish. Found the perfect structure and had the killer bite. Caught tons of crappie, only to have a 9lber want to join the fun...you know how it can be.

Tourneys on Fork are exciting to me because I never know what I am going to get, but I usually do catch fish!

Fork is just for fun, you cant have a real tournament there.
I know Champs and every other trail does but its just a fun lake.

Whadd ya talkin about you can't have real tornaments there, they hand out real checks for the best sticks, and you can take those checks to a real bank and get real money. Then go on a real crazy 5 day bender hog wild with loose waman all over you having a real real goood time....ok i'm back, That's as real as it gets. So if you go to fork and donate all year to someone who wins or no lets say cashes a check maybe 6,7,8 times a year on fork.............he aint kickin your butt cause its not a real torunament. Wait a minute my brain exploded.

Yep thats about it, anytime you put back 25 pounds to weigh in 8-10 pounds youve got to be doing it more for fun than serious.

One of many reasons I do not fish tournaments.
Trying to catch little fish???--I would rather just go on a boat ride, but different strokes for different folks.

Numbers, if you catch the numbers more times than not you'll get what you seek.. The challenge is what technique will catch the numbers.. You have to have a mind set unlike that of a regular lake.. Once you master that you're on your way..

you can get spanked by the Forkers just like you can on the Vine or Ray Bob by the people that put in the time on the water.

Someone will be having 15k's worth of fun in about 2 weeks on Fork....
