Got my new Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW w/ 60 HP Merc 4-Stroke out today for the first time. Everything worked good even the two HDS units I had installed over the last few days. Only issue, it seemed to rev too high over 6100 with this prop when I pushed it some for very, very short times. Prop part number imprinted on prop is 816706A45 which I believe is a 10 3/8 x 14. What do others run with this rig, looking for good speed and fairly light loads, me and one other max. I don't overload compartments or carry heavy loads. Also this is an aluminum prop and I was thinking about going with stainless but looking for best option for both. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Someone with this exact setup should be able to help you.....I believe you may need a stainless prop in a little larger pitch. Generally that drops rpms. Dealer might allow you to try props until you get it right.

Did that this morning and Steve has one on the way. Should have known even here in NC Steve was my best bet. Hard to ignore his reputation having been on TFF for a few years.

It's a 35-36 mph rig, that's what it is. It's a 4 stroke so it can run 6000 or 6100. Just take it easy, for now, break it in,and then see where you are. More Pitch is more Strain on your motor.

thanks man.
your new prop should ship from power tech today. 3-4 business days via UPS to get there.

Not looking/expecting lots of speed, just want to get all I can out of what I have. If I had been looking for speed would have kept my 18' Triton/150 Merc.
Don't do tournaments any more, mostly just 2-5 hrs 15-30 miles from home. Looking to downsize, something a little easier to handle for an old codger. So far I like my change, especially towing it. And have plenty of room for me & my 2 fishing crazy grandsons when they get up from Fl.

Understand. The rpms would be a little less with a second person in the boat. Look at the Mercury performance data for your motor, most are running a 14 pitch. Couldda gone 41 with the 75 on that boat.

i get 42 gps with an old johnson 70 on my pro 175, i run a 17p prop for pulling tubes and skiers and a 19p the rest of the time, it jumps out of the hole with the 19p but i do loose about 500 rpm on top, gonna try a 4 cylinder on it next, i would like to have a 60mph tracker

spankyttx. you have a larger gear case than the lil merc.
he'll be fine with the wide blade i am sending him. his main concern was the little prop was blowing out. this sst prop won't do that.

I'm sure Steve picked the best performing prop, for that boat.I just don't think the op should expect 40 outta that rig. I prefer running quality to top speed, but that's just me.

Steve took good care of me. Took care of the blow out problem and pinned to the seat 36-37 mph. Much better hole shot/slide out and good all around performance---getting all I would expect from a 60!
Went from 18 ft Triton with Merc 150,so wasn't looking for the speed.
