Thought my boss might tag along but he couldn't so I asked the wife and she said no. Well I am headed out alone, to nice to stay home. If you are out and see a green and white Ranger, more than likely it will be me. Also I will be the one looking at my HDS-8 with confusion on my face.

Okay first up;
Would you fish here based on these images? I see no bait.

Next, is that bait on the bottom?

Next, seems like bigger fish

Is this all bait along the bottom or are fish mixed in?

These balls appear to be made up of larger fish? Bait?

I am going to guess here, bait with catfish under them?

Just another image that should have produced a fish, I thought.

I think these are crappie, next to the #17 pillar. Couldn't get them to bite either.

I went out today and didn't want to get skunked so I brought my cat rigs to throw out while dead sticking , turned out I didn't have time to focus on stripers cause the cat bite wouldn't stop , it was a beautiful day on tawakoni today.

I may take you up on that offer. I believe I know how to find the fish but catching them, not so much. I know fish don't always bite so I am a little understanding.

Are you referring to baits? Yesterday I was using Moe's Deadly Assassin's, Sassy Shad, and jigging spoons. I was dead sticking everything.

US marine , sounds like all you need is a little bit of direction. I feel like you see the fish, but if you are not RIGHT in there face, you will not get bit this time of year. I'm just an outsider lookin in. Trust what you're electronics are telling you, and drop that lure straight in their face!

Try again
Mike

Thanks Mike, I trust I am seeing fish for sure. I DO NOT trust I am setting up right or dropping the bait in their face. I know I need more trips out to get familiar with the HDS but the confidence level is dropping, not rising.

Mike is exactly right, this time of year it needs to be in their face. I guess metabolism slows down, they are fat from from feeding and before long we will be on the spring pattern.
