Me and my buddy were fishing the ponds at Holly Lake, I caught this 4.8lb bass on a spinnerbait. As soon as I landed the fish a security truck rolls up and tells us we have to leave. Ughh we were only there for like 15 minutes. Before I could finish weighing her another security truck can rolling through and told us the same thing. Guess they don't like fisherman. Lol but it was worth it.
I took a video of the fish but no pics. So I took a screen shot of the fish from the video.

Awesome!Mountain valley golf course in burleson has huge bass, crappie, catfish and some of the biggest shad ive ever seen. Black buzzbait at night was deadly.

you might try asking the golf pro if you can fish it, he might not care, it would be worth a shot

Nowadays, we live in a litigious society. It's all about liability.

Not so back in the day.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

When I lived in Memphis I played a course all the time, I asked the guy that ran the place if I could come out and fish the ponds once and awhile and to try out new baits, He said that he didnt mind as long as it wasnt on a Sat or Sun morning and if there were golfers present when I was there I had to give way to them. He even said I could use a cart free of charge, was some great pond fishing and never had a problem until Justin Timberlake bought it and turned it into a country club, they drained all the ponds and you should have seen some of the fish that were in them.

Golf Course ponds hold some very nice fish. There is also not that much angler pressure on em. Just about all courses are private. My suggestion to you is check with the course manager and get permission. eeks Just my two cents. By the way nice fish. cheers

A LOT of the bass in golf course ponds around Houston belong to ME. Fishing there and taking the fish is stealing, and the course supers know that. Get caught and get prosecuted.

IF you are a member, and IF you ask permission, you MIGHT get it and be able to fish those ponds C&R for bass. IF not, you might end up in Harris County lockup.
