Just wondering if anyone has been out on Ray Roberts lately and how the fishing has been?

Havent been there in atleast a year. During the winter me and dad stop going there because the bite is so slow and we are lucky to catch 1 fish. I like the lake personally. I dont think dad does. I've heard to just troll very slowly through the sticks north of Jordan Park with a jig, spoon, C-rig, T-rig and hit the deep trees and fish as many as you can. I've heard that has been working. If I was going, that is what i would be doing. Good Luck! Let us know how you do

You don't catch many but it can be a good time to catch a big one.

Went yesterday. The bite was very slow. Fished from noon till dark and caught three. One four pounds caught off the east end of the dam using a 1/8th ounce Carolina rigged senko.. Two others came off the old bridge in front off Sand Branch. They were caught using a flutter spoon. Both of them were around two pounds. All three were very fat
Its time to head up the creeks to the bridges. Indian has some very nice shallow grass flats that get warm in the afternoon.
Safety is the main concern this time of the year. Take extra cloths and let someone know what part on the lake you will be fishing
For you sand bass and crappie folks you will find them stacked up at the Dam and the three humps close to the dam.

I was looking on my Fishidy.com map and saw a marked spot for crappie off Sam Garrett Park. Anyone tried this area?
