Phillip from RSR Lures has been making slide mounts like that for a while now. He's here in TFF.

An anchor on 50' to 100' of rode will swing at least 30'. Spot Lock will keep your boat at least that close. I agree that the 5' radius is a stretch but it will keep you as close as an anchor.

I hate to disagree but, that is not what I have experienced in the two years I've had iPilot. On any given day, wind or not spotlock will NOT hold my boat anywhere near 30'.
I'm just hoping the new iPilotLink will do a better job.
MK changed out all the electronics in my unit and the performance is no better now than before.
I admit to being more demanding due to the fact I only fish for crappie on brushpiles/condos and you have to hold close to catch fish. If you don't mind your boat moving around, I suspect you can live with it. I can't.

Doug,

Do you need that sliding bracket for the Terrova? In the first and fourth pictures the base is really hanging over the edge of the boat. Does it need to be that far to deploy the trolling motor?

You don't have to have the Sliding BRacket and it does allow the motor more room to go over the edge. You can mount to the boat if you want. Or MinnKota makes a QuickRelease too.

I have called 2 Skeeter dealers in my area, both have told me that the mount was just a MinnKota quick release. Skeeter will not talk to you about these they just say to call a dealer. So how can you get one of these brackets?

These are standard on the MultiSpecies Boats from Skeeter and they can be ordered from Skeeter Parts. All the dealer need to do is look at the 2013 MultiSpecies Boat models (Probably not Popular in Texas) and they can order the bracket. Most Texas dealers are going to be Bass Boat Dealers and may not be familiar with the mount. See if they can look at the MultiSpecies Boats this is not a MinnKota Part.

If they can't help. I just talked to Joe Carlson at Grampa Joe's Marine and he has some in-stock: http://www.grampajoesmarine.com/
