I am fairly new to jig fishing. When flipping in heavy timber in stained water I'm using 55 power-pro braid. My question is what line do yall use when flipping a jig in clearer water or when fishing a jig deep on humps, roadbeds, etc. I am using the Falcon Cara T7 Amistad rod paired with a Curado 200E7 reel. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

i use 20# flouro

20 lb T-Line Copolymer Mono.

15lb invzx Belton is the clearest lake I fish. I was using mono for jigs till about a year and a half ago. My buddy beat me to death so I switched and never looked back. The feel is way better and when setting the hook in water 20-30' you need that feel and strength.

I use 30lb braid to jig. I believe it is power-pro brand.

I'm also a proponent of 20# flouro. I choose to use either InvisX or the BPS flouro. Both have served me well, for my limited needs.

I've been using 30lb powerpro with a 20lb invisix leader. Retying the leader is annoying and time consuming so I think I'm switching to straight invisix once my braid wears out.

I use 15 ibs fluro on my swim jigs, and fb jigs. 20 ibs fluro and 65 ibs braid for fishing in thicker cover.

If you can handle spending the little extra time tying a leader it's tough to beat the added sensitivity from braid. 30# power pro is light and strong

I hate Braid.

Depends are you swimming it or are you crawling it, swimming it, size at least #20 as swimming strikes are reaction, crawling it #20 floro

15 pound invesx here and I throw 1 oz to 1.1/4oz Jigs.
