Y'all can keep the overpriced curados
I still have 7 old greenies and a couple superfrees. And when yours are dead and gone these old tanks will still be going. (But I still prefer my 51 Mgs)

I've got a few D series Citicas and I love them but I haven't tried the Curados. Seems like the E's are pretty popular. For those recommending Lew's, why do ypu prefer them instead?

E series is the best. D series is good as well. Shimano pulled a fast one on the consumer with the G series and I dont like that at all. Next new reel I buy will be a revo.

I was huge E fan, but since they went to G all my new reels are Cores. More expensive, but they are so nice.

I think the best was probably the D series. Built like a tank but they came with a cost...weight. The E series is now my favorite but I am afraid Shimano made them too good and had to back up a notch which is disappointing. +1 Best by far. Made of metal, not plastic. The weight is not a problem as far as I'm concerned. The 'D's nobody wanted because they weren't green are probably the most collectible and durable Curados made next to the 'E' series! The 100 B's were little gems too! The D series curado are some of the BEST curado reels EVER MADE. Except for the weight which bothered some, but you can hardly find any plastic parts in this reel as opposed to the E series. My favorite is the curado 300DSV reel which can handle any saltwater or freshwater techniques especially swimbaits.

The Curado 100B is my favorite, followed by a left handed 201BSF.

Gotta go with the E series reels myself. I've got about a dozen of them and was contemplating selling a few off, but think I'll keep em' and just get em' worked over when the time comes. I've got a calais that I've never even put line on because the E series handles everything I need.

I hvae mostly the old 200Bs, I do have 2 Ds, 3Es and no Gs. The VERY best one I have found is the 200BSF, followed by the 200B5s. I have 12 of the old greenies and 1 200B5 NIB, but I am about to put it on a Dobyns CB RM rod that I am about to purchase. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Well if any of you have any E series that you'd like to sell, I'm looking to get another. I prefer one that's either new or mint condition.

I like the DHSV's(silver ones). My son likes the E7's(first dark green series. G series are terrible. If you buy a new model, get the Chronarch.
