I took my 14 year old daughter to a local fishing dock on lake Brownwood Monday night and there were two ladies on the end of the dock that had caught over 150 slab crappie. My daughter caught several slabs and a really nice crappie that got off right at the dock. Lots of fun even though I didn't even wet a line! I just watched and helped her. She went through a dozen minnows in about 30 minutes and then we switched to jigs. Didn't keep any because I didn't feel like cleaning fish, but it was a lot of fun just watching her slay those slabs. I guess Monday night was ladies night on Lake Brownwood.

Of course, I'm sure the ladies didn't KEEP that many crappie, did they? Just a tad over the limit.  Cool for your daughter, though!

Should have called the warden if they were keeping the crappie, just a tad over the limit.
