Anyone interested in a Caddo recon trip in the next few weeks? Need to go over and scout check points for a special PKAA tournament in June.

We were just talking about this last weekend. I'm going as soon as things green up.

Tom...this is not firmed up yet, but I'm working on a PKAA Adventure Fishing Tournament in the swamps of Caddo Lake. I need to be there and navigate and map the area. I will have all the info out in a couple of weeks.

I went last year and fished two days. On the list for this year around March. Love that lake.

For those of y'all that haven't been in a while, I'll bet you'll be stunned when you see the lake. It's not like it used to be. The salvinia has just about ruined the place. Remember how you could just paddle through the swamp and get lost? That's a thing of the past. The Texas side is a solid mat of the stuff except in the boat lanes.

With any luck these freezes have been long enough and killed it back some, but that lake is in sad, sad shape. Giant salvinia sucks bigtime - I so hope that stuff doesn't spread to our other lakes.
