With all the different creature baits, crawls, and finesse worms; When do you ever just texas rig a worm?

When the fish want them. Sometimes they will not hit a C-rig!!! and that's when it's time to try a T-Rig. Also, some lakes and locations on lakes prefer T-Rigs. Shallow water tends to be better for T-Rig worms on some lakes. It's all trial and error. Also called "FISHING!"

just depends on the fish. I have fished a trig worm in February all the way through the summer and have caught fish. I have also fished a trig creature in February through the summer and caught fish. Depends on the fish and lake pressure. JMO.

If someone could answer that question accurately...Ill quit my day job and go out on tour!!!

Another general rule of thinking that can be used is this:
C-Rig Lizards/Brushhogs EARLY Pre-Spawn
T-Rig Lizards shallow Pre-Spawn/Spawn
T-Rig Senko Spawn
Wacky Trickworm/Senko Spawn/Post-Spawn/Summer
T-Rig Worm Post Spawn
C-Rig Trick worm/Finesse worm Summer
T-Rig Ol Monster Worm Summer
C-Rig Brushhog Summer

This is a basic generalization. Nothing written in stone!!!! Each lake is different but think of this: Lizards/Spawn, Post Spawn Regular Worms, Summer Big Worms. Creature's kinda fall in between. They tend to be better around brush, stumps, structure in river systems like Red River or backwaters. "TEND" being the key word.

I almost exclusively always use a T rig worm. I always start with it. I don't have a lot of luck with creatures, so I usually just go with what I know best...T rig worm. I've caught many bass on T rig worm throughout all seasons. Creatures, at least for me, are hit or miss...mainly miss. I'm prob not doing it right.

Same here - either a T-rig or on a Shakey Head. Will get bit year-round.

Just seemed on the lakes I fished the bass preferred either a craw or brushhog more.Maybe bacause I through them more than a worm. Except for senkos.

You can't go wrong with a brush hog especially on Rayburn they love the brush hogs. I still throw the worms a lot also.

I use both alot. Ill but a craw or brushhog on a t-rig and drag it very slowly alond the bottom if its rocky. That tends to get bit more than the worms do for me. I use the worms alot around wood. I fish with both about 50/50 though. cast a worm 10 times then cast a creature 10 times.
