I went down there yesterday and got blanked. If one of you guys is catching anything down there and will let me tag along for a tutorial I'd appreciate it. I agree with you guys though that it will be loaded with fish in the spring. I know there has got to be some fish holding in it now though, Tons of log jams and brush in the water downstream from the bridge.

I've got a bass boat for the main lake. Doubt I could make it back there with the water level where it is. Pecan creek is a great on for the spring also. Can't wait for that one. Hard to get to on foot so not much pressure. The boat can get into that one with enough water in the lake.

Is there a decent spot to launch a jon boat from this area? Will I have to use the park to be able to launch?

At 380 and university park yes you can launch a jon boat and yes it is in the park so you will have to pay.

I got out later than I would of liked so I just walked around and looked since it was my first time there. The water was really low. Hopefully that rain Saturday night helped out some and hopefully the rain predicted for tomorrow actually comes through.

Hey guys, jumping on this thread late, but I was hoping to head out to the 380 lot this Saturday. If I'm coming from Prosper, is there anywhere close to buy minnows?

There is a place in Little elm off of 720. Not sure of the exact location, due to the fact that I do not use minnows. I just jig it! And the sand bass are down there in larger numbers than the crappie right now. But I still catch crappie ever time I am down there.

Did you see the size of that chicken?!.

Thats where I go. I stop at the bait store off of 720 before I head north...
