I'll be there in two weeks. Have four days of guided artificial lined up so remind me to report back or PM me. I sure hope I hit it decent. Full moon just a couple days prior to my first day. Two days with former Elite Pro Steve Daniels and two days with the guys from Fastbreak. We shall see.. I think a lot of us would love a trip to the Big O. If either of you would post a thread with your results, many of us Texans would love the info. If you guys are getting great results, it may take the place of a Falcon trip. Thanks!

Most guides down there will want you to fish at least half a day with live bait. (or until it runs out) If that isn't your thing make sure you talk to them about your expectations before you book. Are you serious? I would be a little pissed if I showed up to a guided trip and saw a bunch of rods in the boat with bobbers on them. Lol.

Thanks for all of the info. Since it will be a two day trip, maybe we can spend a little time using live bait and the rest using artificial. Artificial is going to be what we prefer anyway.

If everyone focused on the important things in life, then there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

My first trip there was a learning experience, but it was still fun. Just not what I care to do and it is the NORM in Florida to fish live bait first. On our future trips my dad and I were up front with the guides we contacted and made sure we were on the same page in regards to artificials only.
