Right now is not the best time for a standard offshore trip which y'all need to do to have any real chance at sharks.

Nate Forbes, Brian Cody, and John Brennen, (if he's still around) are three excellent offshore captains based out of Port Aransas.

Being as ya'll are in Alice, I'd look at a doing a guided trip out of Loyloa Beach and fish Baffin Bay, that's the closest saltwater to you and Baffin is an excellent bay to fish especially if y'all are around in February.
6 guys are going to make any boat crowded, guides are licensed for up to 6 people, but most don't want/won't take six on one boat.

Good Luck.

I'll see if i can look one of them up. Thanks. I think i would rather not wrestle a shark until summer anyhow.

Booked with Capt Mike. for inshore fishing on the 10th. He runs out of Mustang Island. He was recommended to us by a freind. Should be fun
