Dunlap always has existed under the radar and a lot of anglers that fished there over the years liked and preferred it that way. With McQueeney now for the most part out of the spotlight because of lack of a decent public boat ramp access, Dunlap is catching most of the attention. Another unique feature about Dunlap that helps the bass population is that fact that the locals take over the lake as soon as the weather turns nice with the wake boarders and lake lice stirring up the waters and keeping the fishermen away. It's size and the amount of traffic during the recreational months makes it a dangerous and frustrating place to fish.
Just one more cast!

I am not surpriesd that Raven has such good rankings but I would probably have to have an electro-shocker myself to put anything in my boat from there. I just cannot figure that lake out.

rayburn has historically been high on the surveys. doesnt mean you can go out and catch them though. i truely believe there is a percentage of florida bass that you simply cannot catch for whatever reason. northern strain are easier to catch and pattern imo

You have to remember that the electroshocking is not a true representAtion of the lakes. It only reaches so deep. In lakes like Falcon where most o the fish live deeper I don't see electroshocking being very effective.

ski'ers, wakeboards, and other boats keep the fishing pressure down on lake Austin which has some really big fish in it if you can stand to fight the boat wakes, or better yet fish at night.
