We just sent our form off this past week for our go round. You don't even need to submit receipts; just the form. They tell you to keep receipts in case you get audited.
$.20 per gallon back adds up. 75 gallons and you can buy you one of those fancy 10XD's!!

I hate to admit to it, but this is something that I haven't ever done. With the start of the new yaer, I am going to keep all my gas recieptes for boat fuel. I know its got to add up to a thousand or more gallons a yaer.

my question is, they keep saying the words bulk storage. Will this work with just station purchases?

You may have paid for the 1000 gallons of fuel, but only used 500 gal that year, they dont want to pay the road tax back on all of it.

If we have any accountants on here I would love for one of them to chime on on exactly how this works. I just sent this info off to my account and I will post her response on here once I get it.

Line #6 is specificially for Boats and off road use. The generic instructions were directed for farm and business use that have the storage tanks so it is for the BULK storage. For our fishing boats that is not applicable. If you think how much you typically use for a month for Fishing it will SCARE YOU!!! So at least now you can get a little of it back.

A bank statement wont work right? You need the actual gas receipts? I blew an easy $5k on boat Fuel this year. Probably more.

I think I am just going to send copies of the reciepts and keep the originals in case of any type of audit.

A state auditor briefed our club on the program and I received my first refund Feb 2001 based on fuel consumption from 1 Jan - 31 Dec 2000. I have filled every year since and only been challanged a couple of times; but started sending a copy of fuel receipts after the last time they questioned me. Good luck.

I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and they have always told me to keep the original receipts but send in the copies with boat wrote on the top of each receipt. All must be from TX and you can go back 1 year. If they cannot read the amount of gallons they will throw it out.If you did not send any receipts I bet you get your form back.
