Planning a trip down in Feb and after I slay out some huge pigs I'm going to want to go back I'm sure. When do the pleasure boaters start to ruin the lake for fishermen?

I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

Should be fine unless it is a super warm Saturday in Feb, and even then it won't be that bad.

from the few times Ive been there in the summer, seems like fisherman have it pretty much to themselves from daylight till early mid morning. Ive only really fished around 316 bridge to emma long park, might be different elsewhere.

It's probably worse now then in the recent past with Travis being so low (many boats come to Austin that can't launch on Travis). On the plus side the grass has grown so thick it's making it really hard to ski. My guess is it won't get really bad until Memorial Day.

Some of those nuts will put on wet suits and start weak boarding soon though.

They didn't drop the lake this year, so any hydrilla mitigation will have to be done via grass carp.

There will always be wake-boarders/skiers.....but the traffic lessens the colder it gets. I was on it this weekend and it was minimal.
