I have used tap water in my 6 golf cart batteries for 6 years,and they are still going strong.

Same here, I use tap water in the two golf cart batteries I use on my toy hauler for three years and never a problem.

You can put any kind of water in a battery you want.

You would be best to put distilled water in any battery.

The issue is the calcium and other minerals that can contaminate the plates. I would be careful of well water which is often very high in these.

Our water in Justin is full of additives. I will only use distilled water whether it is an "urban myth" or not.

exactly, I use it on my iron and steam cleaner. Steam cleaner specifies distilled only.
