Just FYI, there are about three different threads discussing the show.

Posted it earlier on another thread.. You need better information on the seminar schedules. Maybe have several posters around the entrances or at least the seminar area that gives an updated list of times and topics for the seminars. I drove 3 hour round trip to catch the 4:00 Sunday seminar for Using electronics to locate Crappie and it was either cancelled or moved to another day.

We enjoyed ourselves. Got some great info on Peacocks in the Amazon.

The Rockwall Marine guys were very helpful. I really don't need a new boat but man those Kitty Cats were a deal.

I'm not sure how much the show was hyped up in the Striper/Hybrid part of the forum but it seemed like the Texoma Striper guys were in full force.

The lure retrieval demo trailer was really cool. You could have had that guy talking all day.

Great show in my opinion.

Jackson

Issue i had was that during the fishing seminars at the fish tank they would make annoucements over the overhead speakers and it was disrupting the poor audio from the pros making it even harder to understand.

I don't know if they switched where they were having the seminars but the one I went to on Friday was in the corner by a hunting setup where they continuously demonstrated a lift to fill your feeder which made it impossible to hear. I saw they had rooms just outside that location in the hall that would have been much better than trying to yell over the noise.

They need someone directing traffic. There was plenty of parking around back but alot of people parked in the field and had to get towed out by a tractor. Also, I think the big fishing demonstrations should have been in the rodeo arena there was alot more room over there...

Agreed! Please don't hold the seminars in the exhibition area. Also, I know you want customers walking the entire show but a site map of the exhibitors would be very helpful. I looked for a specific vendor for 15-20 minutes. Other than that, I spent money and enjoyed myself.

it must have been good 'cause I left a couple hundred dollars there. the real find was a couple jerk baits we had been looking all over creation for. also found another source for some. that was worth the price of admission!!
overall i think it was good. i agree, more local bait builders would be a good improvement. it would also be a great addition if you could convince some of the major manufacturers to be there. maybe in time they'll see a value there.
the real plus of a small show is the ability to get quality time with the vendors.
as always we enjoyed talking with tommy from rockwall marine. he takes good care of our kitty for us. and brandon had a trolling motor pull cord on his boat that was the bomb. Gotta get one of those!
as for next year...if you have it, we will come!
