Its crazy how aggressive they get guarding something. I am in Florida and today we were out fly fishing top waters in mid January at the Golf Course. Fish were readily busting them. We rolled up on two fish sitting on a bed. Not even close to spawning season but they were guarding it. They wouldnt come up and hit the fly but wouldnt move if you walked right up next to them. Both where in the 3-4lb range. My friend gets aggrivated that they wont bite and reels his fly all the way up to the top eye and sticks it in their face and wiggles it. He has zero line out....the popper is pinned to his last eye and they both try and go for it. The one bigger bass crushes it first and instantly breaks him off. I walk over and do the same thing just to indulge my friend. I thought he was crazy and there was no way that just happened. You can imagine my disbelief when that 3 lbr turns and engulfs the popper with zero line out. I cleared my leader to the fly line and landed him. The craziest thing I have ever seen.

Great video man went to the ponds yesterday the ponds are gaining some clarity. Coon tail seems to be growing again. Won't be long now we can get on a few of those bed fish.
