Just match the rods to the reels.

i had a set of fox rods back in 2008-2009 and they was great rods.

I just got the opus reels, and so far so good, very smooth reels, and they look good too. Got 300 yd 17# subline on the 5000.

I know the opus plus are fantastic. Not sure about the regular opus.

I have three of the Opus Plus BRI reels and have had no issues.I really like them.I don't have any input on the rods though.
