K so today my wife flicks on the kitchen light. no lights come on, and a burnt smell soon was noticed. She turned the lights off. I'm guessing the ballast burned out. Simple replacement right?
Only problem I'm finding is knowing what replacement ballast to buy, seems there are a thousand different flavors out there. There are 2 t8 u shaped 32 watt bulbs in the fixture, here's what's printed on the bulbs:
Sylvania octron 4100k fbo32/cw/6/eco
Here's the magic question....what is the correct replacement ballast for this? The existing ballast is a Homestar B232 120RES-A Electronic Ballast with 2 blues and a red on the load side.

Either one will work, the main difference between the two is that the 72277 is multi volt, meaning you can use it on 120, 208,240 or 277 volt, go with the 23671, it is a lil cheaper, hope this helps,

check the price of the whole fixture. Sometime you can buy a whole new fixture cheaper than you can the ballast.
