I would go somewhere with water. Clear lake is just about a mudhole at the present time.

Hopefully this rain brings it up a bit. Looks like a good lake to get on.

Clear lake is not a mud hole, I was there the other day and there is still plenty of water to fish. In fact use it to your advantage and learn where the semi submerged piles are. However it may be filling and not clear with the rain. I throw a jig in the creek areas and trees and a spinner around the "dam" area. That's it. Haha

Sounds good. Anybody know If there is a good population of bass in there with any decent size?

http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...ds_#Post8356980T here's on the water pics from Dec 20th in this thread, granted it was 3 weeks ago, the rain should have it up a little. Most of what's dried up was flat bare gradually sloping bank anyway. All the creek beds and forage is still in water. Ill agree the bass I've caught have been dinkish. But its worth it having a pond to yourself

I was there a couple months ago and it wasnt clear and it was low. Take pics because I want to see how the rain affected the water level.

There's a lot of dinks, there's also a lot of big fish. I've caught 6,7,8 lb'ers at clear lake
