The best jig head for plastic jigs IMHO is Lunker City gripper heads. What do you think?

Without super glue, especially on softer plastics (like Bobby Garland's) they're the best.

Sickle hooks without collars w/super glue for my plastics.

I was wondering if the 'keeper' jig head mold from Do-It would work well, haven't bought and tried it though. I just use a barbed minnow head for my plastics, and it has done well for me. I've never super glued any plastics but tht seems like a good idea if you weren't planning on changing out body colors.

With my luck I would super glue the jig to my finger.

Also this especially with Crazy Angler Soft Plastic because its made to hold up better and is tougher than others so a collar head just doesn't work as well on that kind like the softer baits do.

A $2 eye chipper takes care of that in about 2 seconds. That one just came out of the oven so it hadn't been cleaned yet.

You nailed it.

I always paint a handful of extras if it's a color that matches any of the plastics I regularly use. Always superglue a few of each color before I hit the water. I can re-tie a new bait as quickly as I can thread a plastic on a collared jig.

Everyone talks about the LFT Baby Shad being a soft bait and it's true, they are. Having said that I've caught as many as 15 fish on a single bait using a collarless head w/ superglue. Slab Bandits seem to last until you hang up and break off...

The screwhead and double barb jigheads hold plastics better, and it doesnt tear them as bad as other methods. Plus you dont have the smell or mess of super glue

If the paint in you eye of that jig comes out that easy then your paint in not even cured and will all chip off.

Not sure what type of chipper you have, but I haven't ever had a problem cleaning the eyes out before or after curing. Thanks for trying to say I don't know what I am doing. thumb
