What do you look at before you fish or fish a tournament?
By this I mean factors like water level, wind speed and direction, weather forecast, etc. What else and why?

The wind direction and speed for the last two or three days.It can affect water clarity,temp,baitfish.Thus can position fish even if the wind changes during the night before you hit the lake.

Wind and weather, depending on time of year the expected air temps can have an effect on the afternoon water temp in the spring..

The puzzled look on Doug's face while he tells me the time the bite will happen. Wind and temp is about all I look at. Doug's lunar tables are pretty accurate though!

I have won a lot of money doing just that when I was not able to pre-fish. Watch the pre-tournament conditions.
