I have had the Arctic Armor for two years. They are really warm and wind proof. I wear them a lot as I fish a lot in the winter. Plus they have flotation built in. A lot of the other bib get water and your going to have a hard time staying a float if you fall in. The only thing with these is if you dont have a front load washer you will need to take them to a laundromat that does. Since they float its hard to wash them when half of them are floating out of the water in a regular washer. I bought mine on Ebay. Only took a couple of days to get them. I got the same as JD but only the bibs. I am not much on a coat. Too bulky. I wear a t-shirt, polar fleece sweater and a light nylon rain jacket to block the wind.

Good Choice lenahorse. I have had Cabelas, BP, and the military gortex, but the best I have used is the Artic Armour suit. I have the back suit and have used it for two years. It doesn't take much underneath, usually jeans and a hoodie only. Now find something to keep your feet warm!!!! Blessings, Jim

Thanks, for your hands BassPro has neopreme gloves onsale at the Ray Hubbard store that work very well, with a medical latex glove over them they really work good.********************************************************** Returned them after trying Artic Armor gloves there is no comparison to the AA brand.

I also have the arctic armor and they are worth every penny. Like JD and Texomajon said, they are very warm. I can't speak for the gortex cause I never owned a set. I was sold on the floatation part cuz I'm not a good swimmer. Last year when it snowed, I was wearing shorts and t-shirt underneath and I made my kids a snowman and I was sweating.
big un's or lil' un's as long as I'm catching someting

I use my Drake duck hunting pants and jacket. 100% waterproof and more warmth than you could ask for. The pants retail for $120 and the 3 in 1 jacket retails for $300. Heck of an investment but I guarantee that you'll never need another pair of cold weather gear. I got them on sale at academy clearance 2 years ago for a total of $120. Keep an eye out for the end of season sales!

i have Cabelas insulated guidewear and use BPS fleece under it. I went yesterday for about 4 hours and did ok until about the last 30 minutes. By the time I got out and got the boat loaded I was shaking. It was about 40 degrees but cloudy with about 15 mph wind. The problem was my feet got cold. I am cold natured and skinny and 74 years old. Some things cannot be overcome.lol Gotta find something to keep my feet warm. Do the electric socks work well?

I will second J.D.Lyle on the artic armour have had mine for three years now and have never been cold....have fished when the lake is froze over. The good thing is they will float you and give you a chance of getting back in the boat if you happen to have an accident and fall overboard. the layered deal works but if you go over can you pull all the extra weight back in the boat?
