My wife has agreed to go crappie fishing with me tomorrow. I have not been able to find them on Grapevine lately. Can anyone please help me with a good place to take her and put her on some slabs? She's never been and I want to get her hooked. My boat is well equipped for three people if anyone want to join us.

You can't go wrong on Lake Fork or Lake Of Pines both in East Texas. Maybe someone who fish Grapevine can point you to some fish or locations to try. If the fish are not on brush piles try deep drop offs. Good luck and hope your wife land a slab crappie.

I'm thinking it would be worth the drive to guarantee her some fish. Any suggestions on Fork or CC or Monticello?

Take I-30 East to State Hwy 259 and go South past Dangerfield then take FM 729 South to the Johnson Creek Recreation Area. You can launch there, pull out of the cove and you'll see the "Armada" of boats. Good Luck.

We've been running winter trips & pulling limits on Pines lately. This is our third year on the lake. I'll be there tomorrow with customers catching crappie. It's an awesome fishery. Check out our recent post I made a few days ago with a picture of 75 crappie. If your needing a weekend our next available is the 19th & 20th.
Good luck
