Rain never let up so I watched the texans game instead of fishing Tom Bass in the cold.

Go Texans! :-)

Yeah - yesterday was just nasty all day. Today looks much better. Supposed to be sunny all day. I'll take it!

I fished Tom Bass III yesterday afternoon. Had good luck with a 503 Super Duper (this is is the 1.5" 1/6oz size). They were out in the middle of the lake in a shallow area less than 6' deep.

One went about 9", the others went 10"-11" with a couple "fat" ones for their size.

I was there Sunday. From 3:30 to around 5pm. Beautiful day but did not even get a bite. We were fishing on either side of the pier (a group of us). Tried a super duper, nightcrawlers, salmon eggs, berkley trout bait....

Glad they were biting for someone! Is there a particular area of TBIII that you would recommend? I've only ever fished from the side that the pier is on. Never been able to actually go on the pier (seems to always be closed) so haven't been able to cast out into the middle of the lake.

Brazos Bend is supposed to get stocked today, with 2000. I wonder if the rain will force them to stock later this week? I'll be making a trip out there as soon as the weather clears up. I've given up on trout at Tom Bass.

Went out to the local park in Conroe for the expected delivery this morning and it happened around 10:30am.............
caught a limit in the spot where they dumped them into the water in about 15-20 minutes....didnt figure on that! Thot they would scatter when they hit the water.....

me and my buddy limits....used crappie nibbles for bait!

I was home by noon.......
