Does the 1/2 sink faster than the 3/8?

Does the 1/2 sink faster than the 3/8? Yes less resistance with the larger mesh

Joyfish nets rock. I have one and will be buying another one today. 1 1/4 lb per foot sink really well in deep water. The extra weigh helps it to stay more open on the deeper throws.

Looks like I'm leaning towards joyfish or bait buster. Thanks everyone.

I know you got the gift card but id save it for other supplies. I get the wal mart 7fters.They work great, and if you use it as much as I use mine you'll get holes. whenever that happens I just take it back in a sack and exchange it for a new one no problems no charge. and sorry its hard to type on my phone.

+1 on the fitec superspreader being a great net, but I also like the baitbusters for deeper water.
Unclebagster, you can catch minnows in the 1/4" net, but it does gill alot of them. It does great with small shad though. Maybe try a seine.

If you want to get them in 20-50' fow and not throw for 5 hours get a bait buster or a joyfish with 1/2" mesh and 1.5#'s of weight per foot. Would you rather throw a lighter cheaper net 30 times to get some bait or the the heavier one about 5 times?

^^^^I do fine with my cheap wal mart net and don't have a problem catching bait in deep water. I've seen plenty of people with expensive nets not catch anything cause they don't know how to throw the things or where to go. Imo in this case cheaper is the way to go. like I said before wal mart no charge when you rip your net and when you rip your net cause you will no matter how much you spend on one.

I had decided to go with a 1/2" bait buster or joyfish. Now im thinking about posibly going up to a 5/8 mesh. What is the smallest bait I will able to catch with 5/8" mesh?

You won't get hookers. At least with. 1/2 you will catch a few. Would rather have a few hookers than no bait at all!
