My girlfriend and I went out for a half day trip with Michael Littlejohn yesterday. We had originally planned to go for big blues, but Michael was telling me how good the hybrid bite had been so we changed up the night before. We showed up at 7:35am, tied Michaels lures onto our rods and headed out in his covered boat (more on that later). We had lines in the water by 7:50 and had our limit of hybrids/stripers by 8:30. So we started catch and release. We must have caught 75-80 hybrids/stripers for the day. We also kept 50 giant Tawakoni sand bass and 8 blue cats. We had at least 200 fish for the day, but at times the bite was so frequent it was hard to keep count!

This has been my 7th guided trip on Tawakoni and was by far the wildest fishing day yet! Thanks Salsa!

The new boat is awesome to fish out of. It wasn't too cold yesterday, but if you had wanted to, you could have gotten out of the weather and into a heated and enclosed space. Air shock chairs are also nice when you hit wakes while riding across the lake...its just like riding in a car, no bump bump bump as your butt hits the seat.

Hey Harry! It was a ball...and the fish wanted to play yesterday! laugh Why can't it always be that easy? Started out yesterday bright and early..think we were the first on the water, dunno. But, this I do know, the big fat hybrids were waiting on us and how their mouths OPEN ready to eat those ole' Toby Hogans on RSR jig heads. What a great combo! thumb

After the first 30 minutes, the fish really fired up and my screen blacked out. Since there was NO wind...we just kinda aimlessly drifted and let the fish pay their game. We, of course let them do what they do best....show off!

Harry and Laurie NAILED the big fish all morning...then Harry cut me a deal I couldent refuse.

He said: "Hey Michael, if I clean these fish at home, would you mind keeping us out the amount of time it would normally take to clean'em?" Looking at the front of the boat (I somehow managed to leave the dock without a cooler hammer ) it was EASY to agree to the deal! laugh rolfmao

Harry and Laurie reeled in Hybrids and Stripers...and even many many sandbass until we all looked at each other and said.... cheers Let's go back to tha' dock. thumb

The fish liked silver Toby Hogans on 1oz deadstick heads from RSR.

A few pics from the day...

They even let me fish a little bit...

I won't forget my cooler again...but I have to admit, the new legacy has OFFICALLY been broke in! laugh rolfmao

That's one way to ease your elbow tendinitis, let the clients clean fish 👍. Those fish don't even have whiskers. Any 🔨 involved?
