First, welcome to TFF!! welcome Glad to have you. I have no knowledge of Lavon so I am unable to help. I know I have seen some good cats and crappie caught below the bridge under 380. I am just not sure where to catch shad.

There's alot of factors that come into play with Lavon. With the recent rains things may have changed a little since the lake came up a little bit. I'm not an avid catfishing guy, but I have done it with some family that lives right on Lavon. I havne't done very well out there yet. The best that I've done was a 2 pounder and that was last summer when the lake was only a little low. Cut shad do seem to work the best, you can also try live worms. Open the doors to catch a few other types of fish too. I've heard really good things about Clear Lake Park, but I know you have to pay to fish there. Colin Park may be another option. If you are wanting to stay out of the parks, You can try the bridge on 380 or the eastern bridge on FM 3286 (lucas rd).
I can tell you that you will need to get some longer casts out there. With the water level being low they aren't going to be sitting in 3ft of water right now. If you can find a creek channel, you would have better luck.
