Anybody recently fished it? Im going there saturday and just wanted an idea of what to expect. I remember reading on here that due to the water level, winter crappie was expected to be lousy this year at rowlett creek.

Saw a few creek kamikazes yesterday off 66, fewer today. Not enough water for a lot crappie, but not crowded.

I'd rather hit wrc. Just try to find a spot away from the crowd lol. There's enough body heat at the first bend to make winter feel like a nice spring day.
To fish or not to fish... That is no question to be asking. FISH!

Fishes 1 hour at Hell hole last Sunday using jigs, extremely slippery, 3 small crappies. Went to Miller for an hour, did not get one hit. Saw some guy using minnows, might have caught a small one, but no steady action. Two other guys did not catch using small crank and jigs under indicator.

I went today 8-1 pm caught 3 black bass and two channel cats. All were released and all were caught with minners two - four feet below my bobber. I was in a canoe just drifting with the current.
Ain't nothin better than watching a fish stretch my line.

Friday creek was fast and high. If it warms some, the fish will start up.
