Just wanted to say a good word on my experience with Overton Fisheries. I just purchased a new home with a small pond on it and made the long drive to Overton to stock some fish last weekend (not many fisheries in west texas). But it was definitely worth it.
Todd was very helpful and has been great at responding to all my 1000's of questions. The fish made the 6 hr drive back home without any problems and I am excited to finally be on my way to having my own fishng pond. I really liked being able to pick out my fish and see them as I was purchasing them. And transporting was much easier than I anticipated.
Anyways, I was just excited about it and wanted to share that!

Todd Overton operates one of the best and most respected hatcheries in the country. Is doing some great things as far as keeping is bluegill, tilapia and bass genetics top notch.

What did you use to move the fish?
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Todd rarely just bags and boxes. He also generally uses an additive to calm the fish and help them make it.

I know this is sounding like a love fest, but George is correct. I've never had Todd's guys not want to know how far I was transporting my fish. They pack them accordingly. I've never lost a fish either, and I've spent $$$ there, so this is based on personal experiences.

I get all the fish I buy from him back to my pond easy with zero loss, and I am about 45 minutes away at most.
