Roughly 2hrs, depending on the accessories attached if any. If you're in NE Texas, I can get the plate and do the install for ya. John 870 773 3474

Need to be shure you wo`nt have steering or control cable length problems with the 8in first. Their is not a simple jackplate install on a Bass Cat, that I have found. They have the rear compartment packed full. I would`nt quote the install less that 250.00.

BigCrank, FYI BassCat uses a six bolt hole pattern on their boats. If you use a four bolt jackplate be sure to plug the bottom holes with bolts and sealer. Atlas does make a six bolt pattern jackplate.

Is atlas the best choice for the cat? Also what are some reallistic preformance gains? JJust wondering before I pull the trigger.

We have a 6 in. in stock, make a trip to Austin and we can install it while you wait. Then go fish Lake Austin which has produced a bunch of 13 plus pound blacks .

Atlas is a good choice. The addition of the plate will allow you to run less positive trim and still carry the bow of the boat. also moves weight to the stern.
