Anyone been have any luck on palistine yet? I have been about 5 times do far this December but have only caught one or two per trip. I know last year around this time I was wearing them out, but the lake was also a lot lower. What's the deal is the water temp just not low enought yet or what. Last Friday when I went it showed to be 52 degrees, does in need to be in the mid 40s before they start stacking in the deep water?

Not sure what the deal is at Palestine. Last year we were catching fish ALL fall and into winter, but this year the Bite has been off.

6-10 crappie has been good days on Palestine, so we have changed lakes to pick up fish.

welcometo the forum. The week before this cold spell, a buddy was catching limits of descent fish at the big bridge, 17' deep over 24 fow. I wasn't able to get to the bridge Sunday when I went but I caught 15 under the Ledbetter bridge. The big bridge outta be good now.

I have been three times in the past few weeks. Almost nothing on the bridge for me. Been catching some off a pile in 20ft. One day had 15, next trip 25, next trip 13. I think fishing pressure may be taking its toll at the bridge. I hope not, but the next two months will tell the tale. Bridge just doesn't seem to produce like it did a few years ago. For me anyway. I hate fishing the bridge so when I go and check it they have to be biting good real quick for me to stay, I'll go and get on a pile quick.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to go back out sometime this week. I was just wondering if I was the only one struggling to catch them. I just got my boat last year so I really don't know where too many brush piles are yet, I just know the bridges are usually pretty good. Well good luck to all of y'all and thanks again.
