Got my wife to brave the cold and wind yesterday and today. We haven't had any luck yet but are heading back out before our drive home. I'm thinking of launching out of Oak Ridge and working that side of the lake. Any thoughts on some locations that won't get us beat up by the wind while we're out there? Probably throwing spoons, jigs, and swimbaits. May tie on a c-rig for my wife. Should be on the water within an hour. Thanks TFF!

Go grab some Shiners and ballons
Use the ballons for a bobber, free line the shad.
Should be able to let her stick a couple of hawgs
Go to Little Caney and use public ramp on West Side, by Quail Hollow

Get in creek channel and keep pitching a jig to the timber along the channel edge. DO NOT GIVE UP ON THE JIG. First 2 hours yesterday= 0 bites. Next hour= 3 fish almost 24 pounds.

Thanks oldtimer...I'm looking at maybe Caney or Taylor from that area ..this being only my 2nd time here I'm guessing but i know you learn by time spent on the water so that's what i need to do. I did give up on the jig yesterday and it's my favorite way to fish so I'll be more patient with it today. Thanks everyone that took the time to share some knowledge, very much appreciated!
