That's a good looking fish. Nice. I like that falcon rod too.

thanks, its a lowrider, not a bad rod. I actually caught the fish on a johnny morris spinning reel/denali rod. talk about a fight! 16lb braid.

Catch anything else? What lure were you using?

tomorrow I am going to shift gears to specks only.

went out early this morning and had the first limit in 30 minutes.

I want to try to catch some specks or at least flounder. I am going to run to cowtrap today and see what happens.

I had to look up "Cowtrap." From what I read, it sounds like a pretty wild place.

What area did you hit the first day?

Sunday afternoon they were all shin deep and shallower. Really aggressive. Trout were in the stained streaks, reds in the clear patches.

Water is as low as I've ever seen it, treacherous if you don't have some really shallow running equipment.

I fished a cut right by the motel.

the water was ridiculously low until this morning. the strong northern winds emptied the bays. This morning the fishing was terrible compared to the previous days.
