Nice catches. Will the pomps be there in January? I know it depends on water clarity. I'm looking to try my jetski and fish for pomps.

I think the run is winding down now. When the water starts getting cold, the pomps move offshore. You can still catch them out around the gas wells just off the beach though.

You can also head farther south to Bob Hall pier or South Padre. They should still be hitting pretty good there.

I have both wet and dry suit back2fishing. But for a trip just beyond the 3rd break, I probably will not need it. Now that I know pomps can be caught out in Freeport, I'll definitely target them. Thanks for the info!
