I do a yearly fishen trip with my buds. In the past ive fished amistad, falcon& choke around the last of march or in april. This next year these lakes may be out.If traveling anywhere in Texas wasn't a problem, which lake would you fish for a overall good trip? Thanks

I would wait as long as possible to make the choice this year.

Amistad is fishing pretty good right now..and Falcon is tuf.
It's my opinion that one reason Amistad is a little better now is because Falcon has been excellent for the last few years and a lot of fishermen and tournaments went to Falcon...Thus taking a lot of pressure off Amistad...However it is turning back to Amistad being better.........So the masses will shift back to Amistad...Thus repeating the cycle..Plus by looking at the Amistad web site there are going to a lot of BIG tournaments
starting next month....so it's going to get beat up pretty bad

Don't rule out Falcon as it will have some good months this year banana

Have not fished choke much.

Thats kinda where I was leaning Sam Rayburn(which Ive fished once) or maybe some of these other lakes that Ive never fished.Toledo bend,Tawakoni,Possum Kingdom,Hubbard creek,Palestine,Fork. Just don't know enough about these others to decide. There's just so many lakes & so little time.

Mexico will be the place to be this Spring. Falcon and Amistad will be OK; but nothing like Lake Oviachic at 100 Bass per day with 50 of those over 5 lbs. per boat.
I have 2 openings on Feb. 22 for a 10 day drive in trip to Lake Oviachic. We will fish for 5 1/2 days. The trip is $3,000 for 2 fisherman and that covers everything.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

Fish fork for bass and then tawakoni for stripey fish or big cats. They are close to each other and would make for a memorable fishing trip that would be really tough to beat! thumb

Big Sam - especially if you want to see water and not wall-to-wall boats.
